PVA coating of early BD15s (BD-Design)
Hi Bert
Finally I find time to give my early BD15s the PVA coating they deserve, but I cannot find the references in the old Forum.
Can you tell me if this (from memory) is the way to do it?
1. Mix 1 part PVA adhesive with 2 parts water.
2. Apply a thin coating to the cone and dust cap and allow to dry (white to clear). Do not apply PVA to the outer 'rubber' suspension.
3. Apply a further 2 coats allowing each to dry before proceeding.
4. Reinstall and enjoy
Cheers Chris

Thanks Bert
That what I was looking for.:-)
I can get some idea of the right coverage by judging the level of gloss, particularly on the dust cap which is smooth.
It started off matt and after 2 thin coats is now a satin finish. Your picture seems to have more gloss than this. Should I put another coat on, remembering it is used only as a sub.

Hi Chris,

Satin finish is okay, if you see it as a thin layer on top of the cone than its enough.
Ciao,
