Orphean Positioning Setup (BD-Design)

Hi Bert... I have been enjoying my Orpheans immensely for the last 7 months. I am wondering about my setup, my room is 15'x 24' with the Orpheans on the 15' wall with the horn front face at 30" off the front wall and the speakers positioned 91" apart to the horn centers. My listening position is 12' from the horn face. I have then toed in about 2" with the horn center lines crossing behind my listening position.

I have room to move the speakers around a bit from the current position and can change the toe angle of course. I am interested in your initial thoughts to improve imaging precision and width.

Best
Mark

Orphean Positioning Setup

Hi Mark,

I have room to move the speakers around a bit from the current position and can change the toe angle of course. I am interested in your initial thoughts to improve imaging precision and width.

You could change your listening position a bit more back so that you're less in the center of the room for a bit more even bass response (if disturbing) and absorbtion material to both side walls reducing the first reflections if you have hard reflecting side walls.

Do you have an image of the system?

Cheers,

Bert
