singular material (Singular)
Hello everyone, I am brand new to this forum so if this post re-hash's old subject material, I apologize. I'm setting out to build a pair of Singular's for my den (12ft. x 18ft.). I plan on driving them initially with a EL84 based push pull integrated amp. Assuming that I keep all of the interior dimensions the same, could I build these using 1 1/8 inch (29mm) solid maple, mahogany, or birch instead of using 3/4 inch (19mm) baltic birch? I would use the solid wood on the outside cabinet and use the baltic birch plywood for the interior bracing and resonator. Planing and sanding are not issues as I have access to a state of the art cabinet shop (brother in law). I think this system will be a nice contrast to my main rig consisting of 1000 wpc Bel Canto switching amps, Bel Canto pre 2, and Paradigm s8's. Any help is appreciated! Stacy.

Hi Stacy,
Yes, no problem. As long as you do not use chipboard or MDF and keep the internal dimensions equal...
Using natural material usually gives a nice signature to the sound.
Have fun building!
