Speaker Wire (Silver vs. Copper) (BD-Design)
Hello,
I'm in thre process of building a compact ref system using 200's loaded w/ Fostex FE206E (aspiring to AER drivers someday :-)
I've been going back and forth about what type of speaker wire I should use to drive the horns and I'm thinking of constructing a pair from 99.99% solid core silver w/ Teflon insulation (it's available in 22 AWG to 30 AWG).
Before I make the investment, has anyone had positive or negative experience using silver wire in an Oris setup. Would Copper (perhaps CCC) be a better match for this application?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to cable geometry? Twisting vs. brading...
I'll be using a Korneff SE45 to drive the horns.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Cheers,
Hat
