Can Someone explain the Math on this to me ? (BD-Design)

Here are the Specifications of a Crown 1502 Digital Amplifier. I see the Amp has 300 watts into 8 Ohms for 2 Channel... The Bridged Specs are for 1050 Watts into 8 Ohms. Can someone explain the Math on this to me? -- Thanks.

I can't ...

I've tried to figure it out to calculate the maximum Voltage swing (8 ohm) plus the maximum Current capability (at 2 ohm).

But this does not give me the 1050 Watt when bridged. The dual "thing" confuses me which could mean a combination of amps in series and in parallel to get 1050Watt but the math does not work here too...

So ask the manufacturer! Or the supplier...

The dual is Stereo or 2 Channels.

I found the Answer - Bridging lowers the Impedance by half

After a bit of googling, I found my answer the Bridging of an amplifier cuts the impedance in half. So in this case the 4ohm load is 525 Watts. When you bridge the amplifier the Ohm load is seen as 4 ohms. So, 2 X 525 watts = 1050 Watts.

Yes, but that was not the question and the 300Watt rating still does not fit the math... ;-)

If you look at the 4 Ohm rating which is 525 Watts... 525 x 2 = 1050 Watts

And that was indeed my question.
