A Question what is the power output in watts of a Hypex PSC2.400 Amplifer when it is Set to Bridge Mode? Into 8 Ohms in a Single Channel?

2x 400Watt @ 8ohm makes bridged 1x 800Watt @ 8ohm

Here is what I found in the Manual that lists the Power into 4 Ohms Only at 400 Watts. So, does this make the Power into 8 Ohms only 200 Watts? And what about this notation of 500 Watts Total? :read:

OK, got an answer from the Manufacturer .......

"When used in BTL and 8Ohm the power supply will be the limiting factor, max 500w peak power in this setup."

I think this explains why the math does not always work out in the case of 300 watts at 8 ohms..... Power supply limits the current.
