Taking Measurements w/ Oris 200 horns (Oris Horns)

Hi,

I was hoping someone could share how best to take frequency response measurements for the Oris200 + Tangband W8-1808 setup.

When designing crossover for small bookshelf setup, I would take far-field (gated) measurements and merge them with near-field measurements (which have been modified for baffle-step/diffraction concerns).

I can use gating to get accurate measurements to say about about 500hz. However, I have no idea where to position the mic to capture the near-fiend response of the horn+driver combo. Typically, near is measured within a few millimeters for the driver - however, if I do that here, I assume I will completely miss the contribution of the Oris 200 to the driver's response.

Do I measure at the end of the horn? Thoughts anyone?

Nope, measure at least 1m from the horn mouth to see the real contribution of the horn in the lower mids.
