Hey, Bert

In a recent thread you mentioned good signal Earthing as important to best sound from your horns. I am not sure precisely what that means. Would you mind providing a brief definition or description?

Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,

Better name it Signal Grounding because it has nothing to do with Mains Earth.

Indeed this is important because good grounding acts the least as an antenna (ground loops) and reduces the signal noise ratio to a minimum.

Central grounding (star ground) gives the best results. Meaning that all ground wires only have contact at this single point and not at both ends of the cable.

Hard to explain with words but search for star ground or star grounding and many images and schematics will pop up.

Even a system built up from several component can be connected using the same principle in mind where a pre-amplifier could be the central point.
