Reckhorn additional info... (BD-Design)

...simply because I just found out that these have another "less" good aspect on them. This one related to their output impedance...I rather see lower values than 100 ohms myself!

I found out something weird while testing another amplifier and the expected EQ did not work as it did on my own amplifiers. It appears that the output impedance of these Reckhorn devices are relative high which gives a problem when the input impedance of the connected amplifier is relatively low.

As long as the input impedance of the connected amplifier is higher than 47k and the interconnects are not too long then all is well but amplifiers with lower input impedances should not be used.

I measured 1k output impedance for the B-2 and 500 ohms for the S-1.

Just so that you know... (for people using these Reckhorns on behalf my given advise).

Do you have any measurements for REF2010/S1/DB30/BD15 (plot/diagram)?

Hi Gasper,

Sorry but no I don't. I never save any measurements...

Pity... I am just curious what is the curve from 150Hz to bottom end...

From memory this should be flat between 23Hz (-3dB) and 150Hz (depending on the S-1 settings of course and room modes not included).
