RMAF 2008 Denver, USA (News)
Bert, when can we expect the first impressions from Denver? I'm really curious to hear how the new Swings scored there in such a tough competition.
Don't keep us too long in information blockade, please:)
Cheers Gordan

Hi Gordan et all,
It is always a bit weird to write about this myself, wo would believe me if they were not there anyhow?
I think it went extremely well and heard many, many very positive remarks from visitors (coming back several times too and bringing friends along).
The whole show was not too busy though but 99% of the time the room was occupied and not crowded which is a good thing...
I am also looking for reports, pictures and reviews but I can't find much either (very limited coverage!) but that might show up due time.
Please let me know if people do find more information and provide a link here...

Hi Bert,
Good to hear that things went well.
As you say, not much around (yet) in the way of show reports or visitor comment, although I guess more will apear with time.
A couple you've probably seen -

Hi Bert, all,
New to this forum, but as I posted on the diyaudio forum, the Swings really did sound great. I went back several times, kept requesting music, (in between bugging Bert with questions).
At first listen I thought this was a great system for getting loud, and any time you wanted to show off dynamics. I brought a CD with a complex symphonic piece on it, and Bert took to time to stop everyting and rip it & play that.
Ok, great dynamics, and great resoulution with large complex material. Then he played something with percussion like I've never heard before. Then nice acoustic guitar-- low level detail, on and on... This system works with anything thrown at it!
It got my vote for best sound of show.
And my wifes...
Best sound of Show? :)
Welcome!

....and yet another
BD Design from the Netherlands gets Clark Hertz's vote for the best sound in a small hotel room. Their swing horn speakers ($33k) with their own electronics made the walls disappear. Part of the magic was due to the horns channeling the sound wave to the listener directly without bouncing off the side walls.
