The show must go on, so I receive today a 2,5 cm thick 2,80 x 2,20 thick absorbing carpet to place in front of the speakers. The carpet I have today is an Isfahan and do not do much good.

The CD spinner will soon be kicked out and exchanged by a highly modded Philips drive.

Well, well...

Cheers
GC

And now with the new carpet.

Hi GC

You should change the side of the record :dancing:

Why do you choose to swing the Swing inside?:fishy:
As I remember, the MK1 you had choose to swing it outside

Nice pictures as usual:party:

Hi GC

You should change the side of the record :dancing:

Keeps me in good shape.. hehehe

Why do you choose to swing the Swing inside?:fishy:

Well...my room is big (9 meters wide) and the triangle I'm listen in is making this the best!

As I remember, the MK1 you had choose to swing it outside

Nope...someone else is doing that because of narrow rooms I think...???

Nice pictures as usual:party:

Thanks Diz...

Why do you choose to swing the Swing inside?:fishy:

I could also give the scientific (Ehhh?) explanetion:

1) From my sweet spot I have 100% time alignment between drivers involved = maximum resolution and sound stage. Peace in the brain.
*Clio* measuring system also point that out quite precise.

2) Listening height optimal

3) Looks to me better (Very unscientific)

4) In any case, no matter how you place your Swings 'swinged' out/in, if you listen within +-15 degrees off axis, they are 100% timealigned.

Appendix: Folks that swing them oposite might have the basses too close to the corners? Boooom!

Greets to :fishy: from

New updates and ground loops.

It was as usual a pleasure to have Bert for a visit for some 3 days.

He is certainly not wasting his time when he visits customers I must say. He found a ground loop in my system that I was not aware that I had or where I had. That I had *something* weird going on I was aware of, as a slight hum from the bass speakers had accoured since I changed the rack.

But that the loop were to be found were Bert found it, takes more than just being a normal handcraftsman and designer.

However removing it resulted in such an *opening* up of micro dynamics and improved tonality, bass slam and precisssion as my system presents now...I had no imagination that a loop could cause reduction of suchs potentials to that extend.

SO GUYS. WHATCH OUT FOR YOUR EARTH AND GROUND SIGNAL PATHS!

Many fellowmen passed by my listening chair and have already expressed: "This is the best I ever heard". What would they say now?

Thanks Bert for again having fun and playing around with our favourite hobbies.

...and to be of assistance to get rid of your "bug".

Nice meeting you again there too Gordan!
