My latest up-grades (BD-Design)
Dear pals....
I had the pleasure recieving the external filterbox for my Orpheans, which until now were operating in MK1 mode.
Furthermore i recieved the new CrazyV TVC.
So?
The Orphean MKII is in a different league compared to MKI's. So here are the main improvements:
* Totally homogenious from A-Z
* Seemless cross-over point
* Improved clarity and 'airy'ness
* Better midrange definition
* Supreme transients
* Fidele timbre
* Extraordinary resolution
* Extraordinary deep and well defined sound stage
* Totally invisible
* Higher sensitivity
* 'Soft' and 'sharp' as hell
* It is not a 'horn' anylonger, but rather a super dynamic no nothing thing.
So is this up-grade worth the buck? You bet it is. More than that!!!!!!
I had my linefilter for the Swing bass system changed a bit to fit the MKII's roll off.
Now I can say that the Swings as it is now will be nailed to my floor. :ok:
The CrazyV is far superior to my previous Django. What a clarity and fist bass. It is beautiful made. Super finish.
The remote volume control is a gadget worth to die for. Mute function as well.
The Crazy line is becomming an allover hard thing to beat regardless the pricetag others might carry. Period.

Hi GC,
Thanks for sharing your updates.
It is easy to feel that you are extremely happy with all your BD products
Can you explain the difference in sound between the Mk1 and Mk2 filter?
No, don't ask I am still the-220-Hz-and-up-guy.

Hi Rudolf..
Pal..how's life there?
The differences are those I mentioned. (Compared to the first version).
IOW the MKII has been improved in all aspects. Now presenting a fidelity I have'nt never ever heard before.
That good they are.

Hi GC,
Life is great and busy, but I guess busy with the wrong things ... optimising small speakers in the living room and NOT with the bass for the Orpheans
Sorry, I thought the improvements you listed before were related to the result of all your upgrades. I should have read your earlier post more carefully; possibly there was a cold Ferrari sleeping on my display (mixing up post here, I guess :wink: )But all these changes are attributed to the new Orphean filter ??? :eek:
It is almost Sinterklaas in Holland, so I now what to add to my wishlist
Mucho cheerios!

If you get the Mk II filter without getting a bass system, your Ferrari without wheels will also lose the nice leather seats.
That is because the crossover point moves up another 50 hz with the Mk II filter.
You need bass -- are we going to have this discussion again in a few months? :wink:

Yes...my small report bullits refers to MKII's only. Even I got the CrazyV at the same time, I am reluctant to throw in all new things at the same time. Would then not know from where the changes appear.
The MKII's were tested out first w. my old Django van Dango TVC.
Then I threw in the CrazyV:
I caNot say it 'added' anything. Neither it shouldn't. But it deducted blurr, hazzyness, curtain, too *warm* and sloppy bass. As it was just a wire in the system.
Higher recomandation I caNot give it. It's a master TVC.

It's soon Christmas. So what will you find under the Christmas tree? From "Rudolf to Rudolf"........? :wink:
Mucho cheerios!

Time to stop spending money on temporary goods. I didn't for years, but now I do.
