...with the woofer wall. Can't fit the whole thing on the picture...
Still on schedule! Will make them black this evening, clean up the room tomorrow and put things back to have my space back and start wiring and mounting woofers on Friday...

Hi Bert!
Looks strangely familiar, this room I mean I still remember how scary the bass was while watching a movie.

I am wondering what the new sub will do to you then...
Too soon to tell...

So scarry that I will reconsider my visit your place in 14 days. At least I should see my doctor first if he beleives I can stand it physically!

You have a good chance of proving the existence of the mythical "brown note"
Are these drivers in the mouth of an existing horn?
If so have you considered what will be happening at the other end of the horn?
Sound Pressure at that point would be scary.

Yes, the driver still stitting at the end has a hard life now and will probably die trying to resist....
No problem though, I can't hear it "screaming" in its enclosed future "coffin"... too much fun at the other end!
It had a good life though...

hahahaha.
I think you should connect something to it so you can watch it die.
My suggestion is to use the voice coil to directly power a small lamp
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Please submit some pictures after the rattling pieces aNoy you enough to remove them. I suggest doing so when no-one else is around, the temptation to leave a sealed can of fizzy drink in the compression chamber may be too much to resist.

Very curious indeed!
Yes, there is real pressure coming from the subs now... but only after replacing the Array amp for a CrazyA (normal stereo version). Will have to make a bass version for it soon as this specific CrazyA has to leave in a few days...
Still need some time to tune them in perfectly though...

A small article about this sub and my idea's behind a subwoofer in general can be found at: http://www.bd-design.nl/contents/en-us/d192.html
Performing very, very well already and that after only a few hours of tuning...

Looks very good, but:
Total diaphragm area - 1.728 cm2
missing a zero?

Always the same story with me...
Of course it should be 1,728 m2 or 17.280,00 cm2
Thanks, again.... :embarressed:

Well done Bert.
And a very nice article about the sub.
But it seems to me that Heinecken are making so small beer bottles.
A reason for me to stay away from Holland.
Congrats and looking forward to be shaken on the 25th and 26th of August. I'll bring my kidney belt I use when driving my V-Twin low rider train.

It was the biggest bottle I could find (they even have them smaller than the one shown!). I could have used a pack of cigarettes though but then it would only look like a spot...
